A water heater rarely fails without warning. Rusty water, a longer recovery time, popping from the tank, or a pilot that will not stay lit are all telling you something. We diagnose the specific failure rather than defaulting to replacement.
Repair or replace
Under about eight years old with a failed element or thermostat, repair is usually the right economics. Past twelve years with a corroded tank, it is not — and we would rather say so than sell you a repair that buys six months.
On tankless
Tankless is excellent in the right house and disappointing in the wrong one. It depends on your gas line, your venting, and how many fixtures run at once. We will walk the house before recommending it.
